Educational AI is changing how classroom resources are created and adapted. One platform making a real difference is AInara by Smile and Learn. It is built to help teachers create personalized learning materials.
To see how this works in real life, we spoke with Maite Barberá. She is a vocational training teacher at Instituto Técnico Profesional PAX in Valencia. She also won first prize in the STEAM Project category at the first edition of the AI with Educational Impact Awards.
Practical Benefits of AInara in the Classroom
For Maite Barberá, AInara has become a key tool in her daily teaching. She says that having several AI tools in one platform is very convenient. It saves time and makes planning easier. Teachers don’t need to jump between different tools.
She also highlights how easy the platform is to use. It feels intuitive and works for different educational levels. This simplicity is especially helpful in classrooms with students at very different levels. “One of the most common challenges in the classroom is the wide range of student levels. AInara lets you create activities with different levels of difficulty. That makes inclusion and personalized learning much easier,” Maite explains.
Another feature she values is gamification. According to her, it helps motivate students and makes learning more engaging. “Creating gamified activities really motivates students,” she says. These dynamics help capture students’ attention and keep them involved.
Maite also points out the value of audiobooks. This is especially useful when working with international students. “In my class, I had three students from other countries. Being able to create audiobooks was a big extra support,” she explains. AInara helps make content more accessible for everyone.
Maite also highlights an important challenge when using AI in the classroom. Teachers need to review and control the information generated by AI. “It’s not always 100% accurate, and sometimes there’s too much information. The challenge is to filter it, organize it, and turn it into learning materials that students can really understand, without overloading them,” she explains.
This shows a common reality in today’s classrooms. AI is a powerful tool for creating educational content. But the teacher’s professional judgment is still essential. It ensures that materials are clear, useful, and adapted to students’ needs.

We Launch the Second Edition of the AI with Educational Impact Awards
Smile and Learn is launching the second call for the AI with Educational Impact Awards, , open to teachers and schools in Spain. This initiative recognizes teachers who develop innovative projects using AI to improve learning in the classroom. In the first edition, Maite Barberá was one of the winners. Her project showed how teaching creativity and technology can come together to create real impact in vocational education classrooms.
In this new edition, we invite educators to submit their projects. Share your experience. Show how AI can transform teaching. The awards recognize innovation, personalized learning, and the educational value of these projects. They also offer visibility and professional recognition for teachers who dare to innovate.

Alnara as a Pedagogical Ally
Maite Barberá’s experience shows that AInara does not replace teachers. It empowers them. It supports personalized materials, gamification, level differentiation, and help for international students. All from one simple, centralized platform.
At the same time, her story highlights the need to filter and organize AI-generated content. This is key to making learning effective and avoiding cognitive overload. In short, AI is powerful. But the teacher’s pedagogical role remains irreplaceable.
